Large - June - Week 3

Medium - September - Week 4

What is a Croft Share? A Croft Share is our version of a veg box scheme, customers pay a subscription and receive a weekly selection of seasonal vegetables, chosen by us, harvested on the day of collection.

What types of vegetables are in a share? The selection will change through the season. In the Spring there are lots of leafy greens, sprouting broccoli, salad leaves, Spring onions, cooking onions and garlic. Early Summer veg includes mange tout, French beans, courgettes and broccoli. Towards the end of July the first potatoes are usually ready for harvest, as well as tomatoes and cucumbers. By September cabbages, beetroot, leeks, maincrop potatoes and swede are all on the menu. Quantities will increase and decrease as each crop comes into season. Take a look at our Seasonal Calendar for an idea of what you are likely to get and when.

How many people will a Share feed? This year we are offering three different sizes of Share: Small, Medium and Large. Small contains five different types of vegetable and would suit a couple with small appetites, a person who lives alone or someone who grows some of their own vegetables but needs a small top up. Medium contains six or seven different types of vegetable and would suit a couple or a small family. Large contains nine or more different types of vegetables, including two or three bags of leafy greens and would suit a family or a couple who like to eat a lot of vegetables.

Can I choose which vegetables I get? No, sorry. We can cater for allergies but not individual preference. We are growing a wide range of vegetables, there will be a lot of variety from month to month. Have a look at our facebook page for photos from last year, these give an indication of what is available and when.

When is collection day? All Shares - Wednesday - 4pm to 7pm. Collection is from the "veg van" at our gate. Someone will be there to give you your share. Shares MUST be collected within the time slot, we don’t have overnight storage.
